Product Types

Single-Sided Circuits
This is one of the most common types of flexible circuits. It consists of a conductive layer that is then bonded between two insulating layer materials with access holes to conductors that are on the same side. This is an ideal circuit for dynamic applications.

Reverse-Bared Circuits
This is the same material structure as a single sided circuit, however the difference is in the access holes that are located on both sides.

Double-Sided Circuits
The base material is bonded on both sides with copper foil. It is then drilled, plated, etched and then insulated on both sides by a top and bottom covercoat.

Multi-Layer Circuits
This type of circuit consists of a number of conductive layers bonded together with dielectric between them. Plated through holes are used to create the interconnection of the conductive layers.

Rigid-Flex Circuits
These circuits are created to accommodate the entire conductor pattern of an electric circuit within one component. A Rigidflex can consist of flexible circuit(s), which is then bonded to a stiffening material in specific location(s) with plated through holes. These provide an option when flexibility is needed in a portion of the circuit, while utilizing a rigid portion in the balance of the circuit design.

Adhesiveless Circuits
These circuits use a material in which the copper foil has been bonded to the polyimide material without the use of an adhesive. The polyimide adhesiveless system is becoming more prevalent in the growing market of flexible circuits.

Shielded Circuits
This can be a single or double-sided flex circuit with an extra layer of conductive epoxy ink either on one side or both sides of the circuitry layer. This conductive ink works as a shielding without reducing the flexibility of the circuit.
